OK, I kinda take a break on Sunday & what happens? Five brand new International Movie Posters for THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie gets released, ha ha! Here they are in all their glory, enjoy! There are 3 of them that have "Character Faces" like Heath Ledger's Joker, Christian Bale's Batman, & Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent. There's an action shot of the Batman Bat-Pod Motorcycle flying through a window in Gotham City. ( I really love the Batpod one, a lot! ). And then there's one with all 3 faces...awesome! Since today is "Wacky Wallpapers Wednesday" at the Bat-Blog I thought I would post 2 FREE Desktop backgrounds that relate to Batman Vehicles. The 1st one is a detail action shot from one of the new THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Posters. It features Batman on the Bat-Pod Motorcycle crashing through a window...very cool! The 2nd wallpaper is a wonderful original Vintage 1960's Family Photo sent in by a reader awhile back. It shows him & his cousin visiting the original 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile. This must have been the GREATEST day of their lives, ha ha! I really love this picture & because it was so BIG I knew it had to be a background graphic!! We want to invite other Bat-Blog readers to send us cool pictures you would like to see as wallpapers.
In New York City, on the northeast corner of Park Ave and 23rd Street, a massive advertisement for the new DARK KNIGHT Batman film is being created. In an almost paint-by-numbers fashion this HUGE mural is taking forever to be painted. It gives the "event" an anticipation that must be driving fast-paced New Yorkers nuts! I seriously love these huge painted murals on buildings. This one, so far, looks like a beautiful piece of ART! Of course we all know it as the image to one of the many movie posters we have been seeing recently but to have it this HUGE is kind of exciting! I wish I could see it in real-life. I bet it's great. I wanna thank our new friend Michael, from Desedo Films, for sending this information. He writes a clever blog for his company that seems to really be into advertising & creativity, that's cool. Oh yeah, I saved the BEST for last! This is the very special BATPOD MOTORCYCLE, made by HOT TOYS, that will be built to go along with their 12" ( 1/6th Scale ) Batman Figure!! I sincerely think that this is a true work of ART!! The detailing is totally insane & would be really great to have to display with the action figure. Oh my god, if I only buy 1 Dark Knight movie item ( ok, 2, because I'll also need to have the figure, ha ha ) then this will be it!! While trying to decide what images to use this week for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I came up with these two choices. The 1st one is the awesome new toy vehicle by HOT TOYS, The Dark Knight Bat-Pod & 12" Batman Figure!! I love this photo because it's such an interesting action shot. Plus, these toys are very cool! The 2nd desktop background is a new image from the production art of the new animated series coming from The Cartoon Network, Batman: The Brave and The Bold! I hope you enjoy both of these & if you have any suggestions of any Batman Wallpaper you might want then just simply shoot us an e-mail & let us know...we aim to please!
A new trading card company called PLAYGROUND MANIACS has come out with a really neat concept. They sell these packs of THE DARK KNIGHT Collectible Stickers & you get a free Mini-Figure in each pack! Each package contains 8 stickers & 1 figure. There are 180 stickers total to collect & 6 mini-figures. They also make a "Collectible Sticker Album" for you to put the stickers in. The figures include: 1 Joker, 1 Tumbler Batmobile, 1 Bat-Pod Motorcycle, & 3 Different Variations of Batman. The only place I have seen these so far are Target Stores. I bought one pack & got a "Batman Standing" figure...pretty neat! I plan on getting all 6 figures. The Batman I got is almost 3" tall. Target Stores have an "Exclusive" Movie Master Batman Action Figure Vehicle! It's the BAT-POD Motorcycle from THE DARK KNIGHT movie. The detailing looks pretty sharp & at only $19.99 they are going quick so hurry!
For "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post these 3 promotional Batman Desktop Wallpapers that were created by the Danix Company to hype The Dark Knight movie! Danix make cookies in Brazil & they recently did a promo with Warner Bros. The artwork is pretty awesome, so enjoy!
OK, It's a little late in the day but it's still Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!! Here are some FREE BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS you might enjoy. To make them, I used some Promo Art originally created for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie merchandise. One of them is a brand-new "Batman on his Bat-Pod Motorcycle" Toy that I think will probably be made by Mattel. The other is some standard Promotional Artwork.
Over at the MTV GEEK website they just shared some really fun exclusive photos from the booth of Mezco Toys at the 2013 TOY FAIR. Here, we get to see some of the new MEZ-ITZ Batman Figures. The 1st pic shows the new Bat-Pod from the recent DARK KNIGHT Movies. I like this toy, it's pretty cool and kinda cute too! Next up is a version of the Classic Batmobile that comes with a figure...hmm, kind of interesting.
The last two pics show some item that have been out awhile but I thought I'd share them n case somebody has not seen them yet. The one cool thing is the super-huge giant-sized figures. I really like those. Plus, the large Superman and Wonder Woman ones are new. Oh yeah, those smaller Superman Figures include in that same photo are ones for the brand-new SUPERMAN Movie.
Here at the BAT-BLOG.COM we try to keep up to date & report on all the brand-new Batman Merchandise. Sometimes it's pretty easy because the Toy Companies don't release much stuff during certain periods of the year. Then, it seems like everyone is putting out some crazy new product and it's very very difficult, ha ha!
