A couple of days ago a friend of the Bat-Blog, named Perry, sent us some really wonderful photos. I posted one of them the other day of a dog named Cassius who's wearing a Batman Costume, ha ha! Well, here are the other 2 photos he sent. They were so BIG & at the time I needed a neat-o "graphic idea" for "Wacky Wallpapers Wednesday" so I decided to make them desktop wallpaper. I mean, the photos are very well-done & extremely cool. Plus, being that they are Batmobiles they are "Batman-related" so that works for me! Anyway, here are 2 Batman Desktop Wallpapers you can use to beautify the background of your PC...enjoy. Besides sharing the love of the character & the fun of collecting Batman Memorabilia one of the joys I get from doing this blog is meeting a lot of very cool people who also like Batman. And I mean people from all over the world! Some of them are really talented in some field of art or design. Here's an example: We have a friend named "Bacon" who works in graphic design. He has a really great style, sort of grunge-like. For awhile he would periodically send us a nice desktop wallpaper & then, all of a sudden, he stopped! Ha Ha, so the other day I wrote him a message & said, "Hey, where's the wallpaper?". I think he was amused by that ( hopefully so, because I meant it as a joke ). Anyway, a day or 2 later, I got this awesome wallpaper in my mail box! It uses some artwork by Brian Bolland from The Killing Joke graphic novel, a great image! I was gonna save it for Wednesday, because that's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", but it's way too cool & I wanted to share it now. Just click on the image up above & you'll see a larger version. Then, if you have a PC, just right-click on it & click "Set As Desktop Background". Be sure to "center" it & not use the "stretch function" as that will distort it. I wanna personally thank Bacon for sending us this wallpaper. Dude, your graphic-style is amazing & we always look forward to getting cool stuff from you, Thank You & I really do appreciate it. I guess at this time I also want to invite other talented people to send us some cool graphics. A HUGE proportion of our readers us 1024 X 768 sized wallpaper so if you send one of those please use that size. Thanks!
While trying to decide what images to use this week for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I came up with these two choices. The 1st one is the awesome new toy vehicle by HOT TOYS, The Dark Knight Bat-Pod & 12" Batman Figure!! I love this photo because it's such an interesting action shot. Plus, these toys are very cool! The 2nd desktop background is a new image from the production art of the new animated series coming from The Cartoon Network, Batman: The Brave and The Bold! I hope you enjoy both of these & if you have any suggestions of any Batman Wallpaper you might want then just simply shoot us an e-mail & let us know...we aim to please!
Our friend "Bacon" sent us another really great Batman Desktop Wallpaper to share with the Bat-Blog's readers. I couldn't wait to get it up here for you guys because it's extremely well done! Now, of course, all of the graphics he does is top notch but this one is special. He said to get the effect he was going for took a lot of extra time. I think it was well worth it though because this graphic of The Joker all locked-up in the Arkham Asylum is amazing! He looks like he is totally & completely insane!! I really really really like this one ( seeing the Bat-Signal in the window is kinda funny ). Good Job, Bacon & thanks for sharing this with all of us!
Since this is opening weekend for The Dark Knight Batman Movie I though I would post a few TDK-Themed Desktop Wallpapers. These backgrounds should work great in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your PC desktop. The 1st one shows the Dark Knight standing all majestic in front of Gotham City. The other 2 are of the recent movie poster with Joker Playing cards & Batman's face, all jokerized! One has the design all off to the right so it won't be obscured by your desktop icons. Personally, I just got my movie tickets tonight & I'm totally excited about seeing this film on Thursday, at Midnight! It feels like I have been waiting forever & now it's almost here...yyyyeah!!
I guess I need to apologize for the lack of posts recently but the last few days I have been sicker than a dog! I have barely been able to get outta bed, ha ha! Today is the 1st day I have felt "ok" so I thought I would get a few things on here while I have a chance. Now, one of my favorite things about doing this blog is how awesome most of the readers are. I swear I'm not trying to suck-up, ha ha. But seriously, you guys send me some great stuff & I appreciate that! Here's the perfect example: Posted above are 3 Batman-Themed Desktop Wallpapers sent in by Bat-Blog Readers. Actually, they are JOKER-related, ha ha! The 1st one shows The Joker ( lookin' extremely crazy ) wearing a straight-jacket in Arkham Asylum. It was done by a friend named Bacon who's a regular contributor. His stuff is always awesome! ( Thanks Bacon, you rock, Sir ). The next 2 were done by a friend named "Moth", his real name is Pete, and they're really cool too! They are Joker Wallpaper Backgrounds made with many different images of Joker, sort of a collage. All the images are hand-picked & very high-quality...good job! ( Thanks Pete for sending these, I appreciate that ). In fact I was just thinking that the 2 collage wallpapers would be really awesome for a MySpace page!

This week we present 2 brand-new BATMAN DESKTOP WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS. The first one was sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Andrew. He, like most of us, is a huge fan of the 1980's comic book artwork of Norm Breyfogle. So, he took some of Breyfogle's black & white inked art then colorized it. I think he did an incredible job coloring it. It features 3 Bat-Villains: Catwoman, The Penguin, & Joker! ( Thank you Andrew for sending this in ). The next one has a "Golden Age Batman" theme. It's vintage 1940's artwork by Bob Kane. OK, We all know this was probably drawn by Bill Finger or somebody else, ha ha. But, the art is still awesome!
Our new friend Priambadha, who lives in Indonesia, just sent us this very cool Batman Desktop Wallpaper. He made this just for the Bat-Blog & it's awesome! The photo on the left is a Plush Batman Toy he found recently. Thank you Priambadha for sending this background art, good job!!
Whoops! I just got an e-mail asking me, "Hey, where's the Batman Wallpapers? It's Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!!" Ha Ha, sorry. It totally slipped my mind that today was Wed so I'm gonna post THREE wallpapers to make up for it...thanks. The 1st one is a great scene of Heath Ledger's JOKER from THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie. The 2nd one is an image of THE JOKER from the new MORTAL KOMBAT VS DC UNIVERSE video game. OK, I saved the best one for last. The graphic is a drawing of the Batman Family by Fred Hembeck. He's one of the funniest cartoonist out there doing parodies of superheroes.

OK, The latest buzz in the Batman world is the news about the release of a brand-new video game titled BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( You might have read the reports here a long time ago ) & people just can't seem to wait for it to come out. But, for right now, please enjoy these 2 desktop wallpapers you can use to decorate your desktop. My favorite is the one with the Joker...he looks totally crazy! It's always "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" here at the Bat-Blog & this week I thought I would go totally RETRO 70's! The 1st Batman Wallpaper uses a hi-res graphic I found of vintage 1970's artwork by Neal Adams. This was a popular image used on a lot of toy packaging, like Corgi Toys Diecast Cars. Of course I am a huge Neal Adams fan so I had to use that! The next background is just as classic. It's Batgirl as drawn by Carmine Infantino. Another great comic book artist from the Silver Age. I think older readers will like these because they bring back nostalgic feelings & younger people will enjoy them just because the artwork is so good. Please let me know what YOU think about them. If you ever want a certain wallpaper design or a character that's kind of obscure just let me know & I'll see what I can do.

In honor of the 15th Anniversary of the now-classic BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Animated Movie (1993-2008) I made this Background Wallpaper to brighten your desktop! Of course it uses the graphics from the cool vintage movie poster. If you're a serious Batman Fan & you have never seen this film then you really owe it to yourself to do so, it's GREAT! The animation is totally top-notch & is actually one of the best animated Batman movies out there. It's really one of my favorite Batman stories. I remember when it originally came out because I was pretty excited! It came out around the time that the much celebrated TV cartoon series was about to end & it was a very nice ending. It's got some very cool CGI computer animation blended in with the traditional artwork. But it's so seamless that, in most areas, you can't even tell. Plus, it sort of raised the bar a little in animation quality. Hmmm, thinking about how this movie is having it's 15th Year Anniversary is starting to make me feel kinda old, ha ha! It's been out now on DVD for quite awhile & is worthy of renting. So, think about it the next time you can't find anything to rent at the video store. Everybody is totally excited about the soon-to-be-released BATMAN: THE ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game that's coming out soon by Eidos so I thought I would post these 2 Free Desktop Background Wallpapers. One of them features Killer Croc in all his awesomeness & the other has a cool visual of Joker, Batman's Bat-Suit Costume in detail, & the Batmobile Car. I'm totally drooling over this game & I really hope it turns out to be great, my fingers are crossed.
