A couple of days ago a friend of the Bat-Blog, named Perry, sent us some really wonderful photos. I posted one of them the other day of a dog named Cassius who's wearing a Batman Costume, ha ha! Well, here are the other 2 photos he sent. They were so BIG & at the time I needed a neat-o "graphic idea" for "Wacky Wallpapers Wednesday" so I decided to make them desktop wallpaper. I mean, the photos are very well-done & extremely cool. Plus, being that they are Batmobiles they are "Batman-related" so that works for me! Anyway, here are 2 Batman Desktop Wallpapers you can use to beautify the background of your PC...enjoy. For new readers who don't know we post 2 brand-spankin' new Batman Desktop Wallpapers EVERY Wednesday so if you would like to see more be sure to check the ARCHIVES or click the button below for more current ones. The 1st one is a nice sharp photo of a new toy vehicle from the current "The Batman" Cartoon TV Series. I think this version of the Bat-Cycle is pretty cool with the Robin sidecar. The 2nd one was mailed in by our friend named Andrew who borrowed some "World's Finest" artwork from Norm Breyfogle & got creative. Basically he took the black & white line art and then did a great job coloring it ( Thanks Andrew ).
Our friend Paul sent this image in an e-mail. He wrote, "Just in case you haven't seen this ad, it was in issue # 6 of Gotham Underground... Don't ya just hate it when they drop cryptic hints like this..." Ha Ha, Yeah, I agree that DC Comics is not being very "secret" about it. For those who have not heard, there's been a rumor for awhile that DC is planning to kill Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) just like Marvel Comics did recently with Captain America. I guess it's a gimmick that always boosts sales. Even though I hate this idea the image in the ad is kinda cool so I took Paul's picture & made it a desktop wallpaper. The 1st image is the actual ad & the 2nd one is the wallpaper...Please feel free to use it as a background in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your PC desktop. ( Thank you Paul for sending the image, I appreciate that, the readers will love it ).
OK, It's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" again & you know what that means, more FREE Batman Desktop Backgrounds! Now, regular readers might have noticed a few wallpapers recently that were done by our friend "Bacon". They were very popular & I was kind of surprised when he sent some more! They look really great also so I thought I would just release one right now along with one I made. That way the "Bacon Goodness" can be spread out, ha ha! He did the one of Harley Quinn (the Joker's girlfriend) & just like his other graphics it's freakin' sweet! Just wait till you see his other ones, very cool. Anyway, mine is the one below Harley Quinn & it's the NEW 2008 Hot Wheels 1966 TV Show Batmobile by Mattel. I wanted to do this one because the promo photo of this car just came out & it's way too awesome! This is gonna be the '66 Batmobile Elite that will be larger & way more detailed than previous versions. I gotta get one of these, they're extreme!! But, I do wanna thank Bacon for his awesome contributions. I plan on posting more of his stuff soon so stay tuned for that. The Cartoon Network as announced that they will be doing a new Batman animated cartoon TV series called BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. It looks like they're giving the franchise a whole new look & it will be modeled after the original comic book series where each episode they will feature a different DC Universe character teaming up with the Dark Knight. It's scheduled to be released later this year in fall 2008. This, of course, will create a whole new reason for new toys & merchandising so be sure to check with the Bat-Blog in the near future for that information...we're excited! Oh yeah, about the 2 graphics featured here, they're both Batman Desktop Wallpapers! Please feel free to decorate your PC desktop or use them in a MySpace layout!
Up above is a BATMAN MEGO DOLL Background you can use to brighten your desktop. OK, I know it's not "Wallpaper Day" but I wanted to showcase this one because it's special. This one sort of promotes a book called MEGO 8" SUPERHEROES: WORLD'S GREATEST TOYS written by Benjamin Holcomb. It's been out for a little while now & has been very successful. Basically, it's a super-detailed guide book for all the amazing toys, dolls, & action figures made by the Mego Toy Company. If you're a vintage toy collector you would love it! Here at the Bat-Blog we have another page called "Bat-Blog Interviews" where we publish articles where we talk with "Batman-related" people. I had planned on talking with Benjamin about this book way before it came out. We even talked on the phone once. But, the interview didn't happen because of me. I even planned on doing one to be released around the time the book came out but that didn't happen either. The reason is that, during that time, I was going through a lot of personal problems & just never had time. I don't update the "Interviews Page" as much as I should because it takes a large amount of time to do the research, writing, & posting. But, I have always regretting not doing this interview as it's an extremely well-written & beautifully photographed book. OK, it's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" again...I love this day, ha ha! For today's 2 Free Batman Backgrounds I thought I would use the graphics from the NEW Dark Knight International Movie Banner Poster & then another graphic that's a great shot of the Christian Bale/Batman with a cool TDK Bat-Symbol Logo. I know the one on top looks kinda weird but the "top & bottom" of the wallpaper is black & it blends in with my black background. Go ahead & give it a try, you'll like it!!
Oh Crap! I almost forgot that today is "Wacky Wallpapers Wednesday" so, at the last minute, I decided to post these 2 Batman Desktop Wallpapers with a MR. FREEZE theme! The first one is a special piece of graphic art done by a friend named Mark Slater ( I hope he doesn't mind me "stealing" his work, ha ha). It's a really great version of Mr. Freeze from Batman: The Animated Series. The second background is an ultra-sharp photo sent in to us by a Bat-Blog Reader named Michael. It's a Mr. Freeze action figure, shown close-up ...VERY NICE! ( Thanks to both Mark & Michael, these are great! ).
Tonight I started to panic because I just realized that it's Wednesday & I didn't post 2 brand-new FREE Batman Desktop Wallpapers, oh my god! Ha Ha, OK, Here's two that I know you'll like. The 1st one uses some cool retro-graphics that were once on the back of one of those Treasury Comics in the 1970's, a great image. The 2nd one is of the actor Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne. He's in the new Bat-Cave that will be featured in The Dark Knight / Batman movie. You also get a glimpse of the new Bat-Suit, sweet.

The 1st one is a detail action shot from one of the new THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Posters. It features Batman on the Bat-Pod Motorcycle crashing through a window...very cool! The 2nd wallpaper is a wonderful original Vintage 1960's Family Photo sent in by a reader awhile back. It shows him & his cousin visiting the original 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile. This must have been the GREATEST day of their lives, ha ha! I really love this picture & because it was so BIG I knew it had to be a background graphic!! We want to invite other Bat-Blog readers to send us cool pictures you would like to see as wallpapers.
Our friend "Bacon" sent us another really great Batman Desktop Wallpaper to share with the Bat-Blog's readers. I couldn't wait to get it up here for you guys because it's extremely well done! Now, of course, all of the graphics he does is top notch but this one is special. He said to get the effect he was going for took a lot of extra time. I think it was well worth it though because this graphic of The Joker all locked-up in the Arkham Asylum is amazing! He looks like he is totally & completely insane!! I really really really like this one ( seeing the Bat-Signal in the window is kinda funny ). Good Job, Bacon & thanks for sharing this with all of us!
Since this is opening weekend for The Dark Knight Batman Movie I though I would post a few TDK-Themed Desktop Wallpapers. These backgrounds should work great in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your PC desktop. The 1st one shows the Dark Knight standing all majestic in front of Gotham City. The other 2 are of the recent movie poster with Joker Playing cards & Batman's face, all jokerized! One has the design all off to the right so it won't be obscured by your desktop icons. Personally, I just got my movie tickets tonight & I'm totally excited about seeing this film on Thursday, at Midnight! It feels like I have been waiting forever & now it's almost here...yyyyeah!!
I guess I need to apologize for the lack of posts recently but the last few days I have been sicker than a dog! I have barely been able to get outta bed, ha ha! Today is the 1st day I have felt "ok" so I thought I would get a few things on here while I have a chance. Now, one of my favorite things about doing this blog is how awesome most of the readers are. I swear I'm not trying to suck-up, ha ha. But seriously, you guys send me some great stuff & I appreciate that! Here's the perfect example: Posted above are 3 Batman-Themed Desktop Wallpapers sent in by Bat-Blog Readers. Actually, they are JOKER-related, ha ha! The 1st one shows The Joker ( lookin' extremely crazy ) wearing a straight-jacket in Arkham Asylum. It was done by a friend named Bacon who's a regular contributor. His stuff is always awesome! ( Thanks Bacon, you rock, Sir ). The next 2 were done by a friend named "Moth", his real name is Pete, and they're really cool too! They are Joker Wallpaper Backgrounds made with many different images of Joker, sort of a collage. All the images are hand-picked & very high-quality...good job! ( Thanks Pete for sending these, I appreciate that ). In fact I was just thinking that the 2 collage wallpapers would be really awesome for a MySpace page!

Right now everybody is very excited about the soon-to-be-released LEGO BATMAN: The Video Game so I thought I would post these 4 nifty Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds that are from the Official WB website. The 1st one is my favorite, a nice action scene with the Dynamic Duo! But, the one with the Joker & Harley Quinn is pretty nice too, enjoy!
