The First ‘Hobbit’ Movie Could Have Been Even Longer! Check Out These Extended-Cut Scenes

With three movies, each of them more than two hours long, one would wonder how in The Shire Peter Jackson could manage to have even more footage that was actually cut from The Hobbit series. But, alas, some of those scenes you saw in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey were even longer. Today we bring you 12+ minutes of even more Hobbity goodness. Check out the videos below:



The first focuses mainly on certain Dwarven events taking place at Rivendell:







And the next is a longer visit to Goblin Town:





Yes, because that's all we needed - more singing and dancing and an extension of two scenes that were already way too long to begin with. Well, it looks like Mr. Jackson was right on in trimming at least some of the fat. Now if we could get him to do a proper edit for the next flick I might not fall asleep two-thirds of the way through.
