NEW 2008 Batman CORGI BATMOBILES and STATUES

OK, I'm not quite sure what the deal is here but at last year's 2007 TOY FAIR Corgi was showing off their new line of Batman 1:43 Scale Batmobile & Bat-Vehicles that came with a special statue & they're not being released until now. Well, they were worth the wait! Here are the 1st six sets of Corgi Cars with the Statue Figures. We have Golden Age Batman with Red Roadster, Joker with the Jokermobile, Killer Moth, Two-Face, & 2 more Batman figures: a 1960's version & a modern-day one...sweet! Now, I'm really loving these figures/statues. I mean, when was the last time you saw Killermoth? Ha Ha! Be sure to click on the image above for a larger, more detailed, photo! Promo Photos: Some BRAND-NEW The DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie TOYS, Action Figures, & Statues!

These images were pulled from a Japanese site & if Warner Bros wants them taken down I might have to but here's a few promo photos for a few of the super-cool Batman Toys they're gonna make for the 2008 Dark Knight movie! The 1st two pics are a set of Batman & Joker Deluxe Action Figures. Both are really impressive but the Joker's face is awesome! He looks exactly like Heath Ledger, a good job on that! The next item is a replica-prop of the Batman Grapple-Hook Gun. Looks like it comes with a stand & I bet it's gonna be popular. It also looks to be extremely nice quality, that's cool. The last photo are a pair of Batman & Joker Mini-Busts. The detailing on all these toys/statues are pretty nice. A lot of bat-fans were kinda turned off by the variety & quality of the Batman Begins merchandise but this time around it looks like they are gonna go all out! Ya know, these BLACK AND WHITE Statues from DC Direct just keep getting better & better! ( Click on the picture up above for a larger, more detailed, photo ). One of my favorite childhood heroes was the classic comic book artist Jim Aparo. His version of Batman is still one of my favorites, up there with Neal Adams & Jim Lee. At the DC Comics website I noticed this new statue in their "Just Announced" section. The text reads:

CUSTOM BATMAN Toys & Statues: THE KILLING JOKE Joker Cover ( Bust ) & BRUCE WAYNE Visits His Parents ( Statue )

I just came across a very nice website that features the custom work of a small group of very talented artists. It's called HIMESIS. For this post I am showing 2 of my favorite examples which was hard to do because they have a lot of nice stuff, ha ha! The 1st piece is a small sculpture that is a bust of the Joker as seen on the cover to Brian Bolland & Alan Moore's THE KILLING JOKE. It's sort of a 3-D creation of the classic cover. It measures approx. 5" tall & is very well detailed. The next piece is another statue which shows Batman still shocked by the death of his parents, Thomas & Martha Wayne. It's based on artwork from a comic book by Jim Lee, Batman #617. Besides statues there are also a lot of custom toys, action figures, vehicles, & other art at their website. Very Cool Life-Size Statues of BATMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE on eBay

While surfing through eBay the other day I came across this Life-Size BATMAN Statue & knew it had to be shared. Why? Well, besides being extremely cool, the same company also makes many other members of the Justice League. New BATMAN Statues & Action Figure From TOY FAIR 2011.

The Javits Center in New York City was bustling this week with some of the coolest and most unusual collectible action figures and statues at the 2011 TOY FAIR. Among them, DC Direct displayed some their newest products. Shown here are the DCU Online MMO figures of THE JOKER and HARLEY QUINN ( These look pretty awesome! ). Plus, speaking of Harley, we also get to see the Harley Quinn Figure from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Action Figure Series ( Video Game Version ).

Here's a promotional photo we just got from DC Direct. This is the beautiful BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Statue. It's a part of the "Batman: Black and White Statue" Series. It was sculpted by Dave Cortes. This statue's image is based on the video game design. BAT-CAT MUSEUM AND TOYS in Thailand - New Photos

OK, we reported awhile back about the opening of THE BAT-CAT MUSEUM AND TOYS in Thailand. It's a special place you need to visit if you ever go to that country. In fact, it would be totally worth it to book an airline ticket right now, ha! We know the Owner & he's a serious Batman Fan. It might also explain why the Museum's main focus seems to revolve around the Dark Knight. But hey, they also feature other toys and collectibles there too!
The place just keeps getting bigger & more complex. In fact, these new photos almost don't look like the same place. I think the pictures speak pretty well for themselves so I'm not commenting on them except for one thing, the place looks AWESOME! Frank's Awesome BATMAN TOY and MEMORABILIA COLLECTION Photos

Check out these really great photos we got recently from a Bat-Blog Fan who lives in Dallas, Texas. His name is Frank and this guy loves Batman. The cool thing is that he is really into collecting Vintage Toys, Newer Collectibles, Statues, Action Figures, Diecast Cars, Books, etc... and here is the photographic proof! I really like how everything is displayed here and I asked him about those shelves. I think he said something about Ikea. I like that company, they make cool stuff. These Bookcases are great. I wanna thank Frank for sharing these wonderful photos. It's always very cool to see other people's collections.

DC COMICS COVER GIRLS STATUE - THE NEW 52 CATWOMAN

CATWOMAN STRIKES AGAIN!
DC DIRECT recently announced a brand-new CATWOMAN Statue that will be a part of their "DC COMICS COVER GIRLS" Collection. This version of our favorite Feline is from the "NEW 52" line of modern-day comic books. It was sculpted by Sam Greenwell. It measures a little bit over 10" Tall and will have a retail price of approx. $99.95. Also, it has a Release Date of October 24th, 2012... So, look for it around "Halloween time" towards the end of this year.
