For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would post some BATMAN WALLPAPERS that kind of celebrate a few brand-new BATMAN PRODUCTS out there that are fun! The 1st one is a nice photo of the 2011 BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM Batmobile Hot Wheels Car made by Mattel. I got one of these recently, it's a cool toy!
Now, I know the 2nd one is kinda crazy but I really love these Batman Shoes! Our friend Andy, who lives in the UK, told us about these special Converse Sneakers ( Kid's Size Only, yeah bummer! ) that are sold in England. They have awesome "Batmobile" graphics on them!
The last Background is a nice hi-res shot of the next NEW 2012 LEGO BATMAN BATCAVE, which is not out yet, but is featured here because it's so AWESOME!
OK, I know these are strange backgrounds but they are fun, please give one a try. Also, be sure to check the Bat-Blog Archives on the left-hand side of this page, near the middle, to see many more. Plus, for all the recent ones we have posted you can be lazy & just click the button down below, ha ha!

Just recently, on evil eBay, a Rare ROBIN The Boy Wonder PEZ CANDY Dispenser Prototype sold for $1540.00, wow! Back in the 1970's the PEZ CANDY Company came out with a set of DC Comics Superhero Dispensers. They made Batman, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, The Joker, and The Penguin. Now that was not a big deal really. They came out with new characters all the time. But the thing about these that were special were that they had "rubber heads" instead of the regular hard plastic ones. PEZ experimented with this on occasion & there are a few "Rubber Heads" out there. I don't know if they were created for safety reasons or to lower the cost of production, who knows. But as a manufacturing company PEZ needed to create promotional literature to send to Retail Store chains so these places would order their product. So, from time to time, they would make these "fake PEZ" for the photographs, usually, before production happened. Most of the time they had already created a mold in which to make the product. OK, for a promo photo they added some ROBIN PEZ that they were considering. Why he was dropped nobody knows but my guess is that they thought he would not sell very well ( everybody will want "Batman" ) or they wanted a "Girl PEZ" to make sure that Moms bought these toys for their Daughters too. That might explain the weird fact that there is a "Wonder Woman" mixed in with all these Batman characters. So now this long-winded story ( sorry ) gets to the modern-day Auction. This eBay Seller had somehow come across this RARE "Robin" Prototype that was still "MINT in Original Package" & never produced on a large scale. Like, I don't know the exact numbers, but they might have only made 10 of these & then how many of these exist today? So, in both the PEZ collecting world and Batman Memorabilia this ROBIN PEZ is super-rare!

A new block of DC Entertainment programming will be featured on CARTOON NETWORK next year. It starts in early 2012 and will be called THE DC NATION! Right now the 2 main TV Shows they're hyping are YOUNG JUSTICE & the brand-new Animated Series, GREEN LANTERN ( Both are pretty decent ). They will also feature "Animated Shorts" as bumpers between the show. This Friday, November 18th, the final episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD will air. But don't cry Batman Fans, it's been announced that there will be a brand-new CGI Batman series. For now, it's being called "BEWARE THE BATMAN". Once more information is available you know the BAT-BLOG.COM will be all over that, stay tuned!!

OK, This is pretty cool! The BAT-BLOG.COM was recently blessed with an awesome shout-out review on the FIRE AND WATER Podcast! This is the Official Podcast of two awesome comic book-related blogs called THE AQUAMAN SHRINE and FIRESTORM FAN. Each one does an excellent job of covering their favorite DC Comics Superhero Characters. But the Podcast is a combination of both, hence the name, "Fire and Water".Now, just a few days ago, on Episode #7, both Rob Kelly ( Aquaman ) and the "Irredeemable SHAG" ( Firestorm ) mentioned the BAT-BLOG and gave a well appreciated, very cool, review of this website. Among other things, they said something about, "The BAT-BLOG is Great For Your Daily Bat-Fix!", ha ha! Wow! It's really an honor because it's a fun podcast to listen to. In the past I have downloaded a few shows & it's usually pretty interesting, they're both great hosts. Besides talking about their favorite characters they also delve into older comic book history and a little recent Pop Culture. If you're a Fan of Aquaman then you need to check out THE AQUAMAN SHRINE. You can also hear this podcast for free over at the FIRESTORM FAN website. While you're there you might hit their iTunes link & subscribe. I wanna thank both Rob and Shag for this wonderful shout-out. YOU GUYS ROCK & keep up the good work!!

Check out these awesome graphics by our Buddy Dean Fraser. He's the Graphic Artist known for the popular SPRINGFIELD PUNX website where he makes parodies of famous fictional characters... IF, they were on the Simpsons! Oh yeah, it's a great concept & a very funny idea. This week is "BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY WEEK" at the site. So far he's created BATMAN and HARLEY QUINN. But knowing him he will do every single character that exists in that Video Game. At least, we hope so! Here's a link to check it out, just click here, SPRINGFIELD PUNX! ( Thanks for the heads-up Dean ).

Just a quick post to share this cool 3-D Comic Book Artwork of the Dark Knight in his famous Bat-Cave. It has a very cool optical effect! So, Put Your Old 3-D Glasses On!

OK, How are these are obscure Batman characters, ha! Here are 2 Wallpaper Backgrounds I made to brighten your desktop! The 1st one is an extremely excellent graphic I found that was originally used to promote the HUNTRESS Comic Book Series. I like the simple color palette: Purple and Black with a little bit of White... WAY TOO COOL!The next one is a scene from the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD TV Cartoon where they did an episode that was a slight parody of Vintage Japan Bat-Manga!! It shows Robin, the Boy Wonder... with a Ray Gun! I love the Japanese Language BATMAN Logo! OK, I hope you enjoyed at least ONE of these, ha! But if not, then click the button down below for more recent ones.
