Marvel’s ‘Phase One’ Box Set Gets New Release Date And New Features
If you are one of the faithful waiting to throw down $219 bucks on the super special sleek silver briefcase packaged edition of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled, we’ve got good news. After being delayed due to someone forgetting to secure the rights to replicate said shiny metal briefcase (oops), Marvel is finishing up a deal with the German suitcase manufacturer and soon you will be able to blow a third of your rent on the set.
As preciously reported, MCU:P1 will contain all 6 of Marvels ‘Phase One’ films (Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers) the mysteriously named Item 47 short and of course hours upon hours of commentary tracks, behind the scenes documentaries, deleted scenes, printed thingys, a doodad or two and more (the stuff we don’t need, yet must have anyway.)
But wait, that’s not all! With the delay pushing the release back a couple of months, Marvel Studios will now be adding teaser footage, concept art, and Easter eggs for the ‘Phase Two.’ Reportedly the set will give us a good look at Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy and they aren’t even going to jack up that price tag!
You spoil us Marvel Studios.
