Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino's taste in movies is eclectic, to say the least... Hell, if it wasn't for him, I never would have seen Switchblade Sisters, and thus I would have a void in my soul shaped like a 70s exploitation flick about murderous girl gangs.
So when he decided to post his top ten films of 2013 list on the Tarantino Archives, it came as no surprise that the entries ranged from movies expected among the favorites of a well-known cinephile and acclaimed director, to crapfests I doubt even their own filmmakers enjoyed.
Here's the list as it currently stands:
1. Afternoon Delight (Jill Soloway)
2. Before Midnight (Richard Linklater)
3. Blue Jasmine (Woody Allen)
4. The Conjuring (James Wan)
5. Drinking Buddies (Joe Swanberg)
6. Frances Ha (Noah Baumbach)
7. Gravity (Alfonso Cuar n)
8. Kick Ass 2 (Jeff Wadlow)
9. The Lone Ranger (Gore Verbinski)
10. This Is The End (Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg)
Now, I've heard nothing but good things about Gravity and This Is the End... But Kick Ass 2? The Lone Ranger?
Huh...
Does Quentin know something we don't?
Oh, I also personally expected to find The World's End on this list-to each his own, I guess.
