Don't fret, it's not anyone to whom you've become extremely attached. At least, I wouldn't figure. Not yet, surely. And besides, at this point it's still technically a rumor, though one Winter Is Coming seem confidant enough about to share.
And since this recasting rumor will SPOIL upcoming developments, I'll include it beyond the cut.

Okay, here's the scoop. Winter Is Coming's source has told them Tommen will be recast for Season 4 of Game of Thrones. Yup, that little Lannister right there,
I thought I'd provide some visual assistance since having not seen little Tommen since the penultimate episode of Season 2 you may have forgotten who he is. He's been portrayed by Callum Wharry up until now, but come next season he'll be played by Dean-Charles Chapman. It's thought the production was interested in hiring a more experienced actor as Tommen will have a larger role to play in the coming season. Why's that you ask? Well, why do you think Tommen, second in line to the throne, would suddenly become more important? Yeah...
Anyway, so Wharry's out and Chapman's in. Good thing too, because Chapman already has plenty of experience playing a young noble in Middle Ages Britain or its fantasy counterpart. He's already appeared in Game of Thrones as one of the young Lannister squires murdered by the Karstarks and in BBC's and Starz's The White Queen as one of the infamous Princes in the Tower. Hmm, so, he's got a track record for playing an innocent pawn in the power plays of royals. That's nice. Hopefully his turn as King won't be turn as deadly (but considering what land he'll be King of, he'll never be truly safe, will he?).
Any thoughts on this casting development?
