Gundam Seed Destiny: Athrun Zala 02

Athrun Zala has a habit of making small, robotic pets for his friends. Here, he's carrying a Haro called "Mister Pink" which he created for his once fianc , Lacus Clyne. Lacus loved haro very much, and Athrun's response was to create several of them for her, which she named based on their colors.

It was kinda sad how they didn't end up together, but I think a lot of people support the Lacus and Kira pairing.

I believe this Athrun is from the same group as Rey's and Cagalli's. Same watermarks on them, but I could be wrong. Thanks to Ros for the wonderful photography!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell 02

Hm... I think I'm beginning to spam my own blog today. This is my third entry so far, and I think I will regret this later once I run out of pictures.

I can't help it though. There are so many nice cosplayers on the Internet that I want to feature them all at once!

Here's one that rivals the previous Meer Campbell cosplayer I featured from Deviant Art. I can't decide which of the two girls is the better cosplayer, can you?

Gundam Seed: Natarle Badriguel

Natarle Badeiguel, one of the few survivors of ZAFT's Le Creuset's raid to seize the new weapons of the colony, is one of Earth Alliance's most loyal and promising young officers. She is the executive officer of the Archangel, a ship headed by Captain Murrue Ramius. She is a superb tactical analyst, a fine trait that made her a captain of her own ship, Dominion, after her former captain began to question the Earth Alliance's actions.

Natarle is one of my favorite character in the series. Most people don't really like her because of her cold nature, but I believe that's what makes her such a fine officer in the first place. Besides, I respect characters like her better than the Damsel in Distress types.

Sadly, she perished in Archangel's hands because of her blind loyalty to the Earth Alliance.

Pretty accurate cosplayer though, isn't she?

STGCC 2012 Day 1 Event Report

The Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention brings the East and the West in one gigantic pop culture explosion! Held this year on the 1st and 2nd of September at the gorgeous Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, this year’s line up brings several fresh faces as well as a slew of STGCC favorites!

Designer toy heroes Simone Lego, Tristan Eaton, and Devilrobots wow-ed urban vinyl and plastic pop collectors with their latest releases as well as re-issues of several favorites. I personally did not survive the onslaught unscathed, as I couldn’t resist several TokiDoki premiums as well as the STGCC exclusive Treesons from Crazy Label and Ozzo Collection.

Japanese pop culture fans weren’t left out in the cold at this con — not with the massive Gunpla display, and the queues at the Tekken tournament space (where the winner walks away with over SGD 1,000 in prizes). Also back at STGCC 2012 was one of my favorite merch booths from the previous con: Bloody Bunny from Thailand. Cute and gory at the same time, you won’t be able to resist him when he’s on the warpath

Last but not least is the Hulk-sized booth from Hot Toys — featuring their latest must-buy collectible figures! With a nearly complete line-up from the biggest movie of the year: each of the six Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye), SHIELD Director Nick Fury, and charismatic villain Loki Laufeyson, Hot Toys is sure to burn a hole in your pocket — and you’ll love every minute of it!

Gundam Wing: Zechs Merquise aka Milliardo Peacecraft

Source: Crunchyroll

OZ's ace mobile suit pilot, Zechs Merquis is well known as the Lightning Count" or "Lightning Baron" due to his high-speed fighting style, striking his enemies without warning. He wears a mask supposedly to hide a facial deformity, but in reality, it is to hide his true identity, Milliardo Peacecraft, the lost son of the pacifist Peacecraft family. The Peacecrafts were massacred by the United Earth Sphere Alliance, who considered King Peacecraft a threat to their complete and toral rule of Earth and the colonies. Zechs worked his way through the inside to become an OZ soldier in order to seek revenge on the Alliance for the murder of his family.

Wow, this series is definitely one of the classics, and I'm happy to see a detailed cosplay of one of my favorite characters. Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this in!
