BATMAN as SANTA CLAUS Holiday Christmas Graphics

A friend to the Bat-Blog sent these very cool "Batman as Santa Claus" xmas pictures he wanted to share ( Thanks Kevin ). He explains that he "loves both Batman & Christmas" and that he got these images in a portfolio of Bruce Timm's artwork. Timm, of course, was the director & designer for Batman: The Animated Series. That's why these graphics have a "cartoon look" about them...they're AWESOME!

BATMAN TATTOO ART : Vintage Bat-Logo 1989 Movie & The Dark Knight

A friend over at MySpace sent me this photo of an amazing Batman Tattoo he recently got. He explained that as a child he grew up on the "Tim Burton version" of Batman & he also loves the new Christopher Nolan Batman movies. So...he got them BOTH! As you can see, the new DARK KNIGHT bat-logo is crashing through the old 1989 movie Bat-Symbol. WOW! It looks pretty cool & I gotta give the artist credit for doing something very original. Thanks Vincent for sharing this photo. The Bat-Blog is all about the love of the Batman character & this really shows it.

BATMAN Gets a Traffic Violation in The UK!

Ha Ha, This is sort of funny news because it's true! Recently, while Warner Bros was busy promoting the new DARK KNIGHT Batman movie in the UK, they got a ticket on the Tumbler Batmobile for illegal parking! Apparently they parked the car in a "No Parking" area while displaying the car in public. The British Police Officer had no choice but to give them the ticket. One of my favorite Batman Comic Book Artists is JIM LEE. I have always loved his special "hyper-realistic" style. Seriously, He's a great draftsman! The video shows Jim Lee working on a Joker sketch at the Armageddon Expo, Melbourne, Australia on November 1, 2008.

BATMAN & BATGIRL Desktop Background Wallpapers

It's always "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" here at the Bat-Blog & this week I thought I would go totally RETRO 70's! The 1st Batman Wallpaper uses a hi-res graphic I found of vintage 1970's artwork by Neal Adams. This was a popular image used on a lot of toy packaging, like Corgi Toys Diecast Cars. Of course I am a huge Neal Adams fan so I had to use that! The next background is just as classic. It's Batgirl as drawn by Carmine Infantino. Another great comic book artist from the Silver Age. I think older readers will like these because they bring back nostalgic feelings & younger people will enjoy them just because the artwork is so good. Please let me know what YOU think about them. If you ever want a certain wallpaper design or a character that's kind of obscure just let me know & I'll see what I can do.
